Never miss your waste collection day again!
Marin Sanitary Service launched a new calendar tool and upgraded mobile app to make it even easier for residents to stay informed about waste and recycling collection programs.
Residential customers can download our mobile app, Marin Sanitary Service, for Apple (Download from the App Store here) or Android (Download from the App store here) smartphones.
“The residents of our city do a great job recycling, composting, and diverting waste away from landfill,” said San Rafael Mayor, Kate Colin. “It’s now even easier to learn about solid waste management in our community with the improved Marin Sanitary Service mobile app and their new online tools. Sign up for collection day reminders and never forget to put out your recyclables again!”
In the mobile app, you’ll find the garbage, recycling, compost and special pickup collection schedule specific to your house address. The mobile app can also remind you of your collection day, so you’ll never forget again!
You can also search our Where Does it Go, Joe? tool to find out if a material can be reused, recycled, composted or disposed of.
If you don’t have an Apple or Android smartphone, you can visit our website https://marinsanitaryservice.com/resources/where-does-it-go-joe/ and search your home address in our My Schedule tool. You can then:
- Sign up for waste collection reminders by email, phone call, or text message.
- Download your collection schedule into your iCal, Google calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar.
- Print your collection schedule.
- Receive notifications about any service disruptions (i.e. road closures, holidays, etc).
