Apartment managers/owners may schedule one collective Christmas tree pickup at no charge during the month of January. Please contact your apartment manager for your scheduled date and collection location. The above curbside collection restrictions apply.

What Happens to the Trees?

Some of the holiday trees are ground up and used as mulch or further composted to create a nutritious soil amendment. Other trees are chipped and used as a biomass fuel source at a Co-Generation power plant. These trees replace traditional fossil fuel sources like coal and are considered a carbon neutral fuel source.
