Curbside Clean-ups

When is my Curbside Clean-up?

You should receive an insert in your bill announcing any new Curbside Clean-ups in your area. Material will only be collected on your service day during your scheduled Clean-up week. If you can not locate your last bill, please call Customer Service at 415-456-2601 to see when your curbside collection is scheduled.

What can I put at the curb during your Curbside Clean-up? 

You can put out up to 14 (2 cubic yards) of extra bags or cans of garbage, recycling, and yard/food waste. Bulky items like mattresses, appliances, and furniture will NOT be collected during curbside clean-ups.

Bulky Item Collections

What do I do with large household item or extra debris for pick-up?

You may schedule a special pick-up of large household items or extra debris if needed by calling 415-456-2601. The item will be picked up for a nominal charge unless it is included in the Franchise agreement for your city or town. Customer service can let you know what is covered and how much the service will cost. A 24-hour notice is required for special pick-up requests. Please note that any estimates given over the telephone are subject to change when the driver assesses the quantity of the load.  Please put out your special pick-up the night before.

 

Extra Bags/Cans of Material

Extra Garbage

Please contact our office at 415-456-2601 prior to your service day if you find that your total amount of garbage exceeds the capacity of your container. “Extras” include any refuse placed outside or around the container and are subject to a collection fee. Call customer to schedule your “extras” and to receive a collection quote. 

Extra Recycling 

Extra recycling can be placed in a separate container or paper bag/box beside your recycling cart. Please keep paper products separate from your glass plastic and aluminum containers. Extra recyclables are collected at no additional charge.

Extra Cardboard 

Extra cardboard is collected at no additional charge, but must be broken down and either stacked into 2x2x2 bundles tied with twine or  stacked into another small box.

Extra Yard/Food Waste

Please contact our office at 415-456-2601 prior to your service day if you find that your total amount of yard/food waste exceeds the capacity of your container. All residential customers may place up to 2 additional bags or cans (limit of 32 gallons per containers) of yard/food waste out at the curb the night before collection at no charge. Bags must be paper or compostable or they will be charged the garbage rate. Additional bags or cans after the first 2 are subject to a nominal charge unless it is included in the Franchise agreement for your city or town. Customer service can let you know what is covered and how much the service will cost.

Vacation Holds

Are you going on vacation?

If you wish to put a temporary stop on your service due to vacation, please notify our office at 415-456-2601 with your stop date and approximate return date. If you are away for a minimum of two weeks or more, your account will be credited for the interruption of service. This service is available to each resident three times per year.
